A Walk In The Black Forest
We are planning 4-5 days in the Black Forest in late September.
Which two towns should we should chose that are accessible by train ?
Any advice on hotels would also be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

You could start by looking at Triberg and Gengenbach. Sorry I can't help with hotels, I've never stayed there overnight, and it's been a long time since I was in that region anyway.
Other places of interest: Freiberg im Breisgau, Tübingen, Marbach, Freudenstadt. Skip Stuttgart unless you are landing there.
Oh! and Baden-Baden - could be a place to base yourselves, then train to Triberg and Gengenbach.
Good luck!

I stay in Gengenbach. Other towns along the Kinzig river or its tributaries are other good possibilities, such as Schiltach. I’ve also stayed in Neustadt (next to Titisee ) which was also fine. Both have good rail connections.
