I'm looking to spend a week as far away from the European mainland but still in the EU as possible, and was looking at El Hierro. It looks like a spectaculair place all round. I'm looking for outdoor activities, culinary (farm-to-table), rural and sustainable tourism (home stays perhaps), anyone has advise on locations or even itineraries?
