A really helpful trip planning tool
Since I often see postings with questions about the weather, I thought I would mention that www.weather.com is a great tool for trip planning. When I see questions about “weather in Europe in the spring”, I find myself thinking, “Oslo or Palermo?” - “March 23 or June 19?” – “at the beach, or in the mountains”. The beauty of weather.com is that you can enter the city and country, and then look at historical averages, as well as record highs and lows, and precipitation. This also takes the subjectivity out of responses like “the weather is perfect in April”. Since I prefer heat more than my mother does, perfect for me is an inferno for her. Also, for those of us who start packing a week or more in advance, there are 10 day forecasts, which are also really helpful.

I know this was a boring post, but I hope some of you find it helpful.
I'm sorry that you were having trouble, but I would love to direct you xxx.

Simply type the country you want in the box. For example, try Italy, and you will get an alphabetical listing of cities in Italy. Select the city of your choice. Please let us know if you encounter any other problems.

Carla, are you sure you don't mean?

www.weatherunderground.com

At that site, simply type in country, say, Italy. You will see 2 listings for Italy (the second one being a city called Italy in the USA).
But, click on the first listed Italy and then you will get a list of several cities in Italy and will get weather conditions.

Carla's www.weather.com is accurate. On the upper right there is a phrase "Enter City or Zip Code" next to a space. You can enter France and get a listing of a mess of cities or enter Paris, France. ONce the web come up for Paris, right below the current temperature is link labeled "Averages and records".

I like Weather Underground as well, but I give Weather.com the edge for the detail of the monthly averages (you can view detail by day as well) and for the 10 day forcast. wundergound just has a graph for monthly averages, and a 7 day forcast. More useful for trip planning.
