A few hours in Rome Termini

I will have some time in Rome Termini station both on my arrival and departure from Rome Fuminco in early May. I will have about 2 hours on a Saturday afternoon and about 3.5 hours on a Sunday afternoon.

I need suggestions for what to do with my time. I have been to Rome before and seen the major sights. I'm willing to wander, sit in a cafe, visit a museum or church, most anything to soak up some of Rome in a short amount of time.

Thanks in advance for your help.

There are 2 smaller churches near Santa Maria Maggiore - Santa Prassede and Santa Pudenziana. Also not far but in a different direction, is Santa Maria della Vittoria with Bernini's ecstacy of St. Teresa. It's wonderful!

OOOPS, forgot to include, I will have luggage with me. I will either drag it along, or I read luggage storage is available.

Or perhaps pop into one of the branches of the National Roman museum set on the square there:

The same €7 ticket will get you into both of those!

Bags?

Sometimes there are lines to check or retrieve luggage at Termini (it's downstairs). Be sure you leave time to retrieve your luggage.

The Baths of Diocletian, part of which was converted into Michelangelo's last church, SAnta Maria degli Angeli, are essentially across the plaza, then an easy walk to Santa Maria della Vittoria, which is a must see.

The central hall of the Baths gives you some idea what the expererience of a Roman building must have been like -- and it is less than a third of the original.
