Funny how subjective the term 'resting' or relaxing someplace is - to me big tourist cities are a thrill but hardly relaxing - lots of traffic - a must do list as long as a flamingos neck - love tourist cities and all the sights but often feel I must see or do them all.
In a place like Hallstatt or the Lake District I can chill more easily - just get intoxicated on the scenery - now that don't work for me for several days as it would some but a relaxing place with little to see and do for a few days between tourist meccas I do enjoy. (Not that there are not things to see and do in those places I mention - just not a laundry list.)
