Restaurant and evening recommendations for St. Petersburg and Moscow
I will be travelling to Moscow and St. Petersburg with a family group. The ages will range from 20's to early 60's ( that's young, right?). I am seeking recommendations for places to eat lunches and dinners. We will be a diverse group and will probably want to go to a range of places - vegetarian friendly, authentic Russian, low key, splurge restaurants, so all your suggestions will be welcome.
Also, suggestions for what to do in the evening, especially for those in their 20's and 30's would be welcome - art, theater , cafes, entertainment ideas would all be appreciated.
We will be their in early August.

Moscow
Cafe Mu Mu - inexpensive cafeteria style restaurant serving Russian dishes
Starlite Diner for burgers etc
Shesh Besh for Azerbaijan dishes, inexpensive and their salads are great
Aragvi - very interesting restaurant, recently renovated, Armenian cuisine
U Pirosmani - famous Georgian restaurant close to Novodevichy
Cafe Pushkin - another famous restaurant
Uzbekistan Restaurant in Neglinnaya Ul, lavish interior , great cuisine, very famous
Restaurant at the Metropole Hotel is a wonderful experience
Sadko in St Petersburg
There are literally 1000s of dining options
The Moscow Times and St Petersburg Times are good sources of info on activities and what’s on during your visit.
