Totally agree with Judy - and no worries about hijacking the post - Victor has been awesome. Never a complaint and I agree that the price is fair and a flat rate is nice, especially in traffic. I wouldn't hesitate to reach out and book his services. We will do when we are there in December.

Twitter - @DWAntheATL

And----I am with LCI----would love to cross paths. (I hate that I don't get to the low country much lately to catch up with LCI in person)!

Thanks so much, Denisea and Judy. Your information is really helpful. And again, thanks to you, Denisea, for being so nice about my "jumping on" your thread. We're not on Twitter. . .but we may just have to join.

Now, back to your trip to the AC and Rome! So exciting!

Ooooh, denisea, I did not. I am not a good writer, don't take good notes and basically followed flygirl's TR almost exactly (but did a bit less as she's a mover!)

She is an excellent writer and photographer and I recommend reading her report. We even got the same room in Positano!

Ah, I see....hmmm, so the question now is should we forgive you for not writing a TR? I will have to think about this serious offense to Fodorites.

I have read flygirl's report but find I am devastated to not have one from you.

We are very excited to finally get to Positano and look forward to ending the trip back in Rome. It's our 10 year anniversary that month - so it has to be a memorable trip. I think the views along the AC will be amazing!

Denisea, just catching up with some of our Fodorite friends after a two-month absence from the site.

We had a wonderful trip to the Alps, followed by four days in Paris, with a minimal amount of "friction" as one poster put it. A day after returning, we had a big family tragedy: two nephews who live five minutes from us were killed in an airplane accident. Big family impact! No time to unpack. Life put on hold. Out-of-town house guests, etc. We're still catching up with ourselves.

Your trip to the AC sounds so wonderful. Even though we just returned from Europe, we'd be ready to hop on a flight to that area. So excited for you.

We were able to have dinner with Maitaitom & Tracy our last evening in Paris. It was really fun!

Hope to get back into the swing of things soon. Hope all has been going well for you guys.

Hey there---it's always good to hear from you. I am sure dinner with Tracy and Tom would be an event and glad your trip went well.

I am so sorry to hear about the accident. I can't imagine what a shock that has been for all of you and, clearly, a heartbreaking tragedy. I wish you all peace and solace through this.

Thanks for your kind thoughts, denisea. Support of friends really helps.

Travelwise, we'll probably be sticking around the US for a while. This week-end is our annual trip to the Smokies to enjoy the fall color. Good thing we had a break from the awesomeness of the Alps to enjoy a subtler beauty. No special holiday travels as yet.

How about you guys? We'll be watching for any of your plans.

I owe a T/R for our long weekend in Rhode Island a few weeks ago. They were just getting fall color but it was lovely and we had a wonderful time with friends.

I haven't been to the Smokies in a long time----so much of the area is so pretty, but I haven't been in ages.

We leave for Paris in 55 days for Christmas. It is not getting here soon enough---work has been a bit rough lately. I need some time away to cram pain au chocolat in my mouth.

Denisea, Paris for Christmas sounds wonderful! Let's face it, Paris anytime sounds wonderful, n'est-ce pas? Hope it proves to be just that work relief you need!

We just returned from our annual week-end in the Smokies. The mountains are gorgeous. Our goal is to avoid the ticky-tackiness of some of the surrounding cities by using the backroads which, by now, we're fairly familiar with. Staying at a charming inn with a great view adds to the enjoyment. We haven't done any T/Rs of our trips there as they are rather routine by now. Will watch for your T/R of Rhode Island. We've never been there.

We do intend to do a T/R on our recent month-long trip to the Alps with our final four days in Paris.

Happy Paris anticipation!

"cram pain au chocolat in my mouth"
Denise, you're killing me. Add an almond croissant with that and I'd be in heaven!
Oh, wait a minute---also add 1/3 of a baguette slathered with that fantastic French butter & raspberry jam!

Dream On! Now I think I'll eat my yogurt and take my daily 2 mile walk.

Denise:

I thought of you the other day when I sprayed on some Eau D'italie which I bought at Le Sirenuse.

TPAYT - it's my mission to try to sample as many PAC as I can while there. I do share an affinity for the butter slathered baguette (just strawberry instead of raspberry).

Weekender - you have no idea how badly I NEED to get to the AC! I am looking forward to their fragrance---I love Creed Jardin d' Amalfi and I suspect they may be similar.

Denise, have you seen "Only You"? It's a very light romantic comedy with Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey, Jr. that was filmed in Italy, including in Positano at the Sirenuse.
