4-ish days in Skopje
Hello, I'm hoping for a little bit of help/advice.
I am travelling in a group of 3 to Skopje arriving on the evening of the 22nd Oct. We then will depart from Pristina at midday on the 28th Oct.
We have nothing planned as yet, but we were thinking logically we would probably travel to Pristina on the morning bus on the 27th, thereby giving us one full day and night to experience it.
So that would mean we have 4 full days to experience Skopje and North Macedonia. Does anyone have any tips or recommendations?
We know Orid is highly recommended, and that a 1 day trip is considered too much travelling, but is 2 days too much of a chunk out of our itinerary?
Also, it would be nice to "tick off" Serbia as a country visit if possible too, but is a day trip there worth it? I know it would only be a snapshot of the country, but a snapshot might be better than nothing at all.
All advice gratefully received!

I have not yet been to Skopje (on my list) or Pristina, but one thing you need to consider if going to Serbia as a day trip, you likely cannot go into Serbia from Kosovo without first having gone through Serbia first. This is at least my last knowledge and recollection over the border laws, not sure if it has changed or not so something to look into.
So, with that having been said, no, I do not think it would be worth going into Serbia for a day especially given the border rules around it unless you alter your itinerary some.

What are you interested in?
The gems of Macedonia are rather south and west of Skopje: Stobi, Bitola, Lake Ohrid.....
In Kosovo, you find some of the most interesting Serbian monasteries: Pec, Decani, Gracanica........
and scenic cities like Prizren (along the highway to Albania)
Go to Tetovo, if you are interested in the Kamenjane waterfalls.
Or may be you are interested int he hiking trails of Mavro National Park or Galicica National park

We won't have a car so will be restricted to the odd bus trip. It will really be mainly walking round Skopje, Ohrid and Pristina to be honest, we can't visit other nice areas in the country as much as I'd like to (maybe on a different type of holiday with my wife some time).
I'm getting the impression Serbia is going to be to much to add in as well as Ohrid, although we would like to see both.
Is the bus to Pristina in the morning the day before we leave enough time to see Pristina? Or should we consider booking a driver so we can check out Prizen first?
Many thanks for your replies
