4 Days to fill in Rioja Region, Spain

Hello!

I'm planning a solo trip to Spain in early September and I current have 4 days to fill in between traveling from Seville to Barcelona. I'm a wine lover, so I'd like to spend those day in the Rioja so I can visit the local wineries. However, I'm not exactly sure where to stay or what wineries to visit.

Any suggestions would be super helpful!

Laguardia, Logrono are nice places. Maribelsguides is great. I don't think you can just pop into many vineyards in Spain.

You might check my trip report on northern Spain. Just click on my name to find it.

Do you have a Michelin Green Guide? Excellent coverage, IMO.

Robert's guide is good. I like Haro, most of the town's wineries are close to the station, they mainly operate on the pay at the door, book before principle. Your hotel should be able to book them for you, but don't count on having English in a tour.

You'll also find that local bars offer grand reservas by the glass at good prices, so tapas walking gets much better than in other parts of the country.

We stayed at the Hotel Collado in LaGuardia and had dinner at their hotel. Delicious. We also visited Logrono on Calle Laurel for tapas hopping. So much great food there. We also went to the Wine & Olive Oil Spa in LaGuardia for a massage and hydro swim. We went to Baigorri Winery for their tour and food & wine pairing lunch. Wonderful!

Check what the other mate showed you. Anyway, dont worry. These days you wont have any problem. If you say you are a fan lover, try maybe to find some special hotel in a vineyard, there is a good amount of them in this area
