4 day trips from Madrid

Why not, danon? It's technically 2 days, not enough things to see/do to fill them? If so, I guess we'll just take it easy and relax before Madrid, which will be tiring with all the day trips.
I don't think I want to reshuffle the days and hotels anymore...

Many posters love spending a few nights in Toledo…I have nothing against the lovely, historic town ( visited three times, day trips ).
I just prefer the big city vibe at night.

We live next to a very big NYC...we prefer the vibe of smaller towns, day and night 🤣
I think Toledo for 3 nights will work for us, and I really appreciate your insight. Different people like different things, and knowing the reason why you prefer Madrid over Toledo makes me understand why the opposite will most likely be true for us.
