Weekender....I am enjoying the Lipault bag already. I travel constantly and it is so light! You are right....it holds a lot and I got the 4 wheel version which is working out nicely. I love that I finally got anything other thank another black bag! Great to hear from you and I should have known you were already ahead of me with this brand. We totally got lucky in finding it.

Thanks to all who have read, responded and contributed to our trips on Fodors. I have learned so much here and so glad if I have returned the favor.

Wow what an amazing wonderful report. Took me right back to Paris, my favorite city in the world. I'm green with envy at your Chanel purchases! Would love to have something by Chanel other than lipstick and my glasses

I have the Lipault luggage in teal too. Love it.

Denisea, again, thanks so much for sharing your experiences from wonderful Paris! The Marmottan is special, isn't it? We appreciate the time you spent sharing details of restaurants, shopping, etc. Our next European venture will be to Austria/Switzerland,in September. We've been to both, but the weather, especially in Austria, was not favorable. En route home, we're going to spend a few days in Paris. T/Rs like yours make us eager to return.

Thank you - I really appreciate the readers and the comments! So many of you, I feel like I know.

SharonG, it took a number of trips to finally purchase any Chanel at all!

Yes, tomarkot...love Marmottan and am so happy to have finally made it to this outstanding museum. A ticket to Paris is always worth the price.

Next up, I found out that I will be going to Lisbon for a work thing...will be checking up on that on the Partugal forum. Looking forward to it.

Denise what a great way to wrap up your report with the lists-I may have to steal that!
and now I am doubly sad I missed the Cartier exhibit when I saw it on your list as your favorite thing you saw-dang I was right at the door!

Denise:

Spent Thanksgiving in Lisbon a couple of years ago and loved it.

You MUST go to Pavilhao Chines Club! Never seen anything like it:

Just catching up with the last of your report, denisea. I'm sad it's over! And thank you - I know doing lists like that, with contact info etc., takes a lot of time and it's really appreciated.

I'm not a big shopper at home either, but I know I will be coming back to this report for reference. As the one in the marriage who is better with money and who always says, "Oh, I really don't need that," I'm feeling a splurge coming up on one of these trips.

Looking forward to hearing about Lisbon. It's high on my list.

FabFrance....there is always a "something" that you were in front of or around the corner from in Paris that you didn't get to! It is maddening and kind of nice at the same time, isn't it?

Weekender....thank you....always looking for the unique thing, so the suggestion is so welcome. Looks fun!

YankyGal, it is a drag for it to come to an end! Well, I don't really mind putting lists together. It lets me relive it all and I do love the shopping. I did the "I don't need that" for a very long time. I really am glad to have finally made some purchases this time. I did find myself regretting always window shopping and either never going back for an item. I really wanted someting that would be classic and timeless and I get that with the necklace (I wear it more than I expected to) but I am almost as happy with our set of champagne glasses. I hope you do find something splurge-worthy!

Denise,

I have also been looking at those Chanel necklaces as our 15 year anniversary is this summer. Our daughter is getting married this summer in the Dominican Republic and the cost of it all may hold me back. But goodness how I've been eyeing them. They even took out a few last March and let me get a closer look. We will see.

On another note just got reservations for l'Atelier Joel Robuchon. My aunt and her friend who have never been to Paris are in for a treat.

Hi Lisa---Robuchon on Montalambert is the one we always go to. I hope you can get some of the totally wonderful classics we got. Still a favorite!

I am just thinking you need the necklace for the wedding! ;-)

I am sure your aunt and her friend will love having your Paris knowledge for their trip. Lucky them!

Denise,

That is the one we are going to. We are going to Reed also and are supposed to meet Joan for a meal at Les 110 Taillevent. Funny how our trips are becoming more and more about the food. You just don't get anything that good in southeast Texas.

Sounds like a good food trip....it's a huge part of it for us.

It seems like the comments that are less favorable re: LJR are from the Champs Elysee location.

Loved your report, denisea. I think it is because of you we stayed at the Louis II a few years ago and found Berthillon. I love the Diwali scarf shop as well. We will be in an apartment this September in the 5th and your restaurant reports will be very helpful.

I look forward to reading about your next Parisian adventures!
