3 weeks winter in Puglia

Hi All,
I've been reading threads on Lecce and other parts of Puglia, but don't see any threads for wintering there.

We are interested in 3 weeks, probably basing in Lecce. Probably late January or early February. We are in our 70's, active, love history, architecture, art and the general Italian lifestyle. (apart from bureaucratic snafus!) I appreciate any all opinions.

Thanks you
Virginia

I've never been to Puglia in the winter. I'm guessing the locals will be wearing puffer jackets and scarves as the thermometer plummits to 17C or 8C. The days will be short but if around the Christmas festival it might be fun. So Epiphany might also be good. as would Candlemas

Il Carnevale di Putignano interesting

I'd go looking for festivals to build your holiday around

Bilboburgler,
Good idea! I will look into this carnevale, and others in the area. Thanks for the tip.

I will be in Lecce at the end of November and will check it out for you although I know November weather can be quite different from Jan/Feb.
