edawg, www.virtualtourist.com

Do a search on Copenhagen and click on "members living here". You'll find some very active members there who are always up for a beer or three.

Greece. Any island that has a direct flight to Paris.

Re Copenhagen:
Even just walking into a bar, they will start buying shots of fisherman's friend and you will have a barhopping dane posse til dawn.

unless I just looked hard drinking?

would TOTALLY pick PARIS! I've been there 3 times already, but always less than 5 days each unfortunately so there's always a few things that I have to leave off the itinerary for my next visit- some suggestions though:
1. Rodin or Picasso museums, if you're feeling contemplative--two of the best museums according to the parisians themselves
2. wander around the Marais district, it's gorgeous, eccentric and unique, plus almost tourist-free (compared to the 5th and 6 th arr.), it's also where a lot of expats choose to live so might run into some compatriots
3. finally a macarons crawl!

Well I'm leaning toward Copenhagen now from what you guys are saying. I'm not a huge museum guy and have never been overly interested in Paris for some reason.

Basically what I want is good beer, friendly people, and pretty girls. Bars that stay open until early morning (even on weeknights) are a bonus too!

Go to Prague, edawg...great beer, very friendly people & beautiful women.

I'm not a guy that actively checks-out women, but the ones in Prague kept my head turning.

What about Tallinn? Isn't it a young party place?

(I don't know from experience, dear, I'm in my 30s and prefer to drink at home, alone. Hell is other people.)

Just jump into a non-lounge bar and you will meet people in Copenhagen.

Tallin is a party place, and last I heard, it was becoming well known among the Europeans as the place to hold stag parties.

A plus (for you): liquor is very cheap. I usually buy a bottle of hard liquor for my brother as his souvenir, so took out the equivalent of $20 US to do the deed. I barely used up $5 US for a huge bottle, so I got myself a huge bottle of mint liquor. The funny thing was it was on sale, so I spent maybe a total of $7 on 2 huge bottles of liquor.

I guess the other option for you is Copenhagen or Stockholm. I have a soft spot for both cities as well. Stockholm has a cool Ice Bar. I guess the downside for that is you need to make reservations, and there is a limited amount of people allowed inside the bar at any one time.
