3 day Lisbon itinerary

I would appreciate any input on a 3 day trip to Lisbon in late October. I most likely will be arriving Thursday morning (7:30am) and departing Saturday evening (8:50pm). Do you think I can fit in Sintra or am I pushing it?

Thanks

Sintra is an easy trip from Lisboa and well worth the effort, it's very close. Read up on the sites to see before you get there.

I just booked my next trip to
lisboa but I'll have to wait till April.

We spent two days in Lisbon, and it wasn't enough to see the city sights, so I don't think three days is enough to see Lisbon and Sintra, too.

There are sample two and four day itineraries in the destinations section of this website.

I'd stick Sintra in there.
See the www.golisbon.com website's Itineraries page for ideas on how to spend those 2 days in Lisbon, plus that Saturday in Sintra. Definitely don't miss Sintra (http://www.golisbon.com/portugal/cities/sintra.html).

Consider this unusual recommendation: Spend some time on Passenger friendly MetroLisboa. If you go out to Oriente take the Metro. The Stations are real works of art. Back when Expo'98 was going to happen, I did a (unpublished) Photo Essay on Lisbon's Metro system. At many of the stations, getting off and exploring the art work (to be admired) is a worthwhile endeavor.
