2006 trip

Any suggestions for where to stay or things to do around Straffan, Co. Kildare, Ireland?

How about any golf courses?

I can't be of any help with golf or a place to stay (we stay with family in Co. Kildare). Some things to do though might be the National Stud as it's the center of Irish horse racing; Castletown House in Celbridge; Maynooth Castle. Of course, in neighboring counties there's Trim Castle, the Hill of Tara, Newgrange; and Glendalough depending on your mode of transport. I'm not sure if buses run as far as Straffen but I know they run to nearby Celbridge, so you have all of Dublin available to you as well.

kle I play a bit of golf around that area. If you give me an idea of your price range I can try and help you out.
