I suspected that -- which is why I emphasized the point. Marriott County Hall is not at all 'bustling' inside. Either it or St Ermin's would be really lovely. If anything the St Ermin's is slightly posher. County Hall has the amazing views.

Maggie, I'm joining this thread late but you have certainly had some good advice, including leaving Cornwall [where I live] till another time. Better to have enough time to enjoy what you can see comfortably in the time available than to much around and see nothing properly.

Maggie, you're right. It is lovely [though of course it is very different living somewhere than it is visiting for holidays; not necessarily worse or better, but different!]
