2 days out

how about Rye or Faversham or Royal Tunbridge Wells. I want a not so busy day out.

missreadfan: You REALLY need to re-post w/ a title that makes sense.

"2 days out" could mean anything about anywhere in Europe.

Now about your question - I'll assume you mean day trips out of London. Right? OK - then what sorts of things are you interested in?

I'll bite! I'd suggest Royal Tunbridge Wells, since I've spent a goodly amount of time there and in nearby Crowborough in my more youthful days-a lovely old spa town, it has great scenery, expensive Georgian architecture, and of course the area known as the "Pantiles" the colunnaded walkway in town filled with interesting boutiques, antique shops, restaurants, open air cafes and pubs. A most enjoyable day trip.
