1st timers to UK-Cottage in Stratford-upon-Avon/Cotswolds area last minute
Traveling to London in 10 days & want to spend two nights in a cottage in the Stratford-Upon Avon/Cotswolds area. Haven't booked anything yet & need help for last minute reservations. Any suggestions or information about special towns, out of the way interesting points to visit would be appreciated. Art, history, FOOD, culture, gardens, castles. Happy to rent a car & travel to whatever the best there is to see for first timers to the UK! We'll be based in London from 4/23-5/1.

That is the middle of Easter/bank holidays/wedding etc so probably few cottages would rent for only two days. They'd either want a full week or at least 5 days. And many are likely booked up at this late date.
Even just finding a nice B&B w/ availability may take a hunt.

I've done a quick search for cottages in the areas you've menttioned and it appers that 2 night stays generally start on Fridays, so you may want to factor that into your itinerary planning.
I have no personal accommodation recommendations but you have certainly picked a pretty area of the country and I have listed here just a couple of URLs you could use to begin your search. Happy hunting:

Try going to www.english-country-cottages.co.uk and type in the dates you want. There do appear to be some cottages available for the dates you want.

Thanks so much for your replies. I received a positive response with availability from Monks Barn Farm in Stratford-Upon-Avon. The reviews on Tripadvisor all look excellent. If anyone has been there or knows of it & has any additional information, that would be helpful before I book the two nights. Macbeth is also playing at the Royal while we're there & we're looking into getting tickets. Heaven!

If the cottage doesn't work out, we stayed at the Woodstock B&B in SuponA and highly recommend the place. It is a beautiful and very well located B&B as well as an excellent value. It also has private off the street parking.
