My husband and I are looking into Paris the first week of June for 2 days. We will also be going to England for 3-4 days. What is the best way to do Paris? Would love to have dinner in the Eifel Tower. Any suggestions would be grateful.

"Do" Paris in 2 days? Realistically, you can either hit the main sites, or just spend two days strolling about and enjoying the atmosphere. If you mean eating at Jules Vernes, you'd better call them today - my understanding is that they are booked up in summer months in advance. I tried last March to secure a reservation for a friend in July and was told no openings until August. There is another restaurant in the Eiffel Tower as well - Altitude (95?), but I'm not familiar with it.

Too bad it's only two days - just keep moving. Pick a couple of sites that interest you , take a quick look, then walk the area. Stroll the small streets, sit in a cafe, and make plans to return. I agree with the suggestion of staying somewhere and just walking to experience Paris. If you must see something - and these are both overwhelming - see the Eiffel Tower (especially at night) and the Arc de Triomphe. But I wouldn't bust my butt to try to "do Paris". Doing Paris means "Taking time for time"! Have fun and don't forget to park yourself down in a cafe chair, sipping wine and watching the world go by.

We spent 2-1/2 days in Paris and saw quite a lot. We walked for miles, up the Champs d'Elysee to the Arch de Triomphe, to the Eiffel Tower, along the Seine, took a break and did the boat ride on the river, went to Notre Dame, saw the Concierge and La Chapelle, went briefly into the Louvre, walked in some of the gardens. We stayed near Montmartre, so we went there each evening, saw Sacre Coeur, and looked at the view of the city. It was much too fast, but we had such a good time and know we would like to go back and spend lots more time.
