Cutting out Como is a good idea.

I would consider adding 2-3 more days to Rome and another day to Venice (you can do a side trip to Murano and Burano.)

Bologna makes a good base for easy train trips into Venice, Florence, Milan, Ravenna if you have trouble finding accommodations this late date. The train station is at the historic center

My family likes to base in Florence on the south side of the Arno River for ambiance. Florence is a good base for day trips to Rome, Venice, Bologna, Lucca, Tuscany, Cinque Terre (overnight).
