14Day Scenic Scotland Itinerary Request

My husband and I, 60+, plan our first trip to Scotland May 3 for 2 weeks. I am mostly into great scenery, photography & hill walks; my husband is a Celtic music lover& people watcher. We like small towns the most and stays at B&Bs to meet locals. I am behind with planning. I've taken some suggestions on cslasor's thread of places to be. Our best plane fare will be into Edinburgh R/T or open jaw out of Glasgow. Understanding our interests, please comment:
Day 1 & 2: Edinburgh including usual &
Rosslyn, Linlithgow & Falkirk Wheel.
Day 3-4: Aviemore or Pitlochry: via Stirling Castle, Cairngorns & Edrudar Distillery.
Day 5-6: Kinlochewe or Gairloch: Corrieshalloch Gorge, Inverewe Gardens, Glen Torridon & Loch Maree.
Day 7-8-9: Skye: Eileen Donan; Dunvegan, Elgol, Cuillins, 3 Chimneys.
Day 10-11: Ballachulish/Glencoe via Mallaig, Arisaig & Glenfinnan.: Ben Nevis.
Day 12: Daytrip to Mull & Iona, stay in Kilmartin.
Day 13: Kilmartin Glen, Crarae & Arduane Gardens w. nite in Glasgow.
Thank you.

That's a lot, I think. Persoanlly i'd ditch Rosslyn, but obviously it's up to you.

>Day 3-4: Aviemore or Pitlochry: via >Stirling Castle, Cairngorns & Edrudar >Distillery.

Fine. You can't really get into the mountains from Pitlochry, although there's splendid different scenery round about. Dalwhinnie is an alternative to Edradour on that road

>Day 5-6: Kinlochewe or Gairloch: >Corrieshalloch Gorge, Inverewe >Gardens, Glen Torridon & Loch Maree.

Great

>Day 7-8-9: Skye: Eileen Donan; >Dunvegan, Elgol, Cuillins, 3 Chimneys.

Great

>Day 10-11: Ballachulish/Glencoe via >Mallaig, Arisaig & Glenfinnan.: Ben >Nevis.

Great. There's an option to come round Ardnamurchan, but it involves missing out Glenfinnan

>Day 12: Daytrip to Mull & Iona, stay >in Kilmartin.

Where are you meaning to take that trip from?

>Day 13: Kilmartin Glen, Crarae & >Arduane Gardens w. nite in Glasgow.

Great. You'll LOVE Arduaine in May

Sounds amazing! My only suggestion, if you're seeking accommodations, is to use the "Taste of Scotland" guide. It lists guest houses (sort of glorified B&Bs) that have received the Taste of Scotland award for authentic, delicious food. We loved these places and met wonderful people there (who provided lots of travel tips along the way).

Thanks Sheila, I plan to daytrip to Mull & Iona from Oban. How long does it take from Ballachulish? Also you and Janis both suggested Edinburgh sites in 2 nights is ambitious. If I stretch to 3 and perhaps one night in Pitlochry area, might that work? I don't know anything about Dalwhinnie, so I'll have to do some research there. Abbydog, thanks for Taste of Scotland suggestion. Is this online or something to purchase?
