12 Days in Italy

Hi Folks

I've planned a trip to Italy in Dec from 16th to 27th. Will arrive in Venice on 16th.
Here is a my trip plan- 16th Dec to 20th Dec in Venice (4nights)
20th Dec to 23rd Dec- Florence (3nights)
23rd Dec to - 27th Dec- Rome (5nights)

will fly to Paris on 28th

Please give your suggestion and recommendation if I should make any change?

Cheers

The distribution of days looks good to me. However, I don't have any knowledge of how holidays would affect your plans. It could be fabulous!

If you cut the # of days in venice, you might be able to drive to Sorrento from Rome - make Sorrento your base and then take the ferry to Positano. Its totally worth it. Did that 2 years ago and wished we could have spent more time on the Amalfi coast.

I think for a December visit, the risk of storms in the Amalfi make it a poor choice. Don't change your itinerary. It looks great. Over the holidays, you will have the treat of beautifully decorated churches open on Christmas day, plus lots of music concerts, brilliant window displays and yet at the same time, everything will be a bit more peaceful and cheery than in the worst of the summer tourist months.

have a great time.

I agree that the Amalfi Coast in late December is a risk. Stick with your itinerary and see the 3 cities all dressed up for the holidays. Your distribution of days looks just about right.
