"The Lotschberg Railway trail between Frutigen and the Lotschberg Tunnel" is nothing to write home about.
The Loetschberg railway trail between Hohtenn and Eggerberg/Mund/Brigerbad is at least 10times better (nothing but sun the whole day and view to tons of more than 13,000 ft high peaks.

.. a reason more to check the Loetshberg Suedrampe trail Hohtenn - Lalden where you can walk on railway bridges and through tunnels built for the railway constrction only (as access ways to the ligne to build).
Some other unknown gems:
hiking and bike trail on the abandoned railway line Pontarlier - Gilley (French Doubs Valley close to the Swiss border);
cog wheel steam train Furka Pass;
Gelmerbahn: steepest cablecar (rope driven funicular train) track of the world (between Meiringen and Grimsel Pass);
hiking trail Preda - Bravuogn - Stugl (former railway station), more or less along the Albula railway line.
Steam train line Blonay - Chamby (Montreux area), doubled by a hiking trail;
hiking trail Pontresina - Morteratsch - Bernina Pass - Alp Grum: all along the railway line;
hiking trail Alp Grum - Cavaglia - Cadera - Poschiavo - Le Prese: more or less along the railway line;
Bike (and hiking) trail Muggia (Trieste) - Koper - Motovun - Porec (120 kms), on the abandoned Parenzana railway line;
Trail on the former railway line Bonfol (Swiss Canton of Jura) - Pfetterhouse (Alsace) - Sepppois - Dannemarie;
Railway line hiking trail Pratteln (Basel) - Liestal - Laeufelfingen (27 kms);
Sauschwaenzlebahn (pig tail railway) hiking trail Zollhaus Blumberg - Grimmelshofen (North of Schaffhausen);
Semmering railway hiking trail: Gloggnitz - Semmering - Muerzzuschlag;
etc. etc. .....
