www.mytravel.com - advice required!

Hi

Has anyone any advice/experience regarding this website for booking cruises? It all seems to good to be true to me - service/refundable deposit/rebate etc.

I will be booking from the UK., so maybe I'm just not used to this kind of service!

Any response welcome.

Jo Jo,

I used MyTravelCo.com to book a cruise for my family in January of this year. I booked only a few weeks before hand since the deal was just too good to pass up. The service we received was excellent, the gentleman I dealt with was professional, giving me his direct line for any questions I had. I did indeed contact him a few times and he always either answered the line or got back to me very quickly. I would feel comfortable using them again if the need arose.

Best Regards,

Laura

I just got a quote from them to compare to the prices my TA gave me on 2 cruises we are booking. They were almost the same with a very slight edge going to my agent. Cruise deposits are always refundable up to the time the final payment is due. Many agencies offer rebates. In summing this up I would say they are about the same as any GOOD cruise agency. I do not have any knowledge as to how well they do if there is a problem.

I have had some not so great experiences with them such as attempting to raise prices after booking and them not being reliable.
I have only booked with them once, but once was enough. I would look elsewhere, but that is just my experience with them speaking. I have also ALWAYS been able to beat their prices since that one time I booked with them. I just learned to shop around a little bit more.
Toto

I also tried them. At first they were great, but when I called a local travel agency, I was able to get a better deal and lots of extra stuff too (we got free flowers, champagne and robes in our cabin!!). I also tried booking a cruise on Travelocity, and it was such a nightmare, that I swore off of internet cruise booking forever. There really is something to that old saying that as humans, we cannot replace human contact. Good luck
