Wrong Name on Ticket...

We head out for a cruise on NCL in a few days and as I have been getting the confirmation printed out I discovered a problem.
My wife and I are bringing our two teenage daughters. Since we got a great rate and they were the same price in our room or in seperate rooms we split up into two rooms.

Problem is that they put Courtney down with me and in the other room with my wife they list my other daughter as Courtney.

To reticket there is a cost involved. Is this easily fixed when we get there? I booked through Travelocity. Not sure I'll reach my TA this weekend.

Your thoughts????

"guido"
A cruise rookie

Hi Tom,

First and most important. Are the names correct on your airline tickets? If not, You should call the airline immediately.

Of secondary importance is the cruise line. If your travel agent ... if you wish to call Travelocity a travel agent, is not available, call the cruise line yourself. It is not as serious as you think but there may be a fee to change depending who may or may not feel sorry for you. Work on it.

And to all others that book cruises and airline tickets ...... be sure to check your receipts as soon as they arrive for correct spelling of names and make sure they names correspond to your birth certificates and/or driver's licenses.

This is one reason I do not do last minute bookings.

Paul

Just call NCL. Surely you are not the first to have this problem.

BTW - I just did a last minute booking with my TA and am glad she did the booking for me . I would have been upset if she said "sorry, I can book you but because it is so close - I am choosing not to."

I don't have my docs yet, may not get them but I am prepared to go the pier with ID and a confirmation number if necessary.

Good luck and have fun!

Theresa

Hi Theresa,

Unless I receive the documents and make sure they are correct (too many things may go wrong) I worry.

It goes back to the fact that I will be held liable if something does go wrong.

I do not need the commission that bad.

Good luck to you.

Paul

My TA called to let me know he got it straightened out.

My next challenge was renting a car in FLL the day after Thanksgiving. Hertz, National, etc were sold out. Avis would have run $220 for 3 days on a mid-size. Enterprise wanted $99.00 a day for a full size!

Booked with Royal. $40 a day for a Taurus.
Hi Tom,

Try Dollar. They seem to be the most reasonable these days.

Paul
