In my experience, if the wine was purchased for example by your travel agent and sent to you on board, they will have purchased it one of two ways. The first way is through a vendor that provides such items, flowers, chocolates, etc. to cruise lines and have them delivered. In this case the wine would probably be subject to a corkage fee, @ US$6.00. No additional tip is expected. If the wine is purchased through the cruise company prior to the voyage for delivery on board, there is typically no fee and it is included in house all ready. Many people will still give their steward a tip for any extra service such as the corking and they always appreciate it. Your steward in your section of the dining room will find you, don't worry. <BR>

If you purchase wine on board, you will be charged for the price of the wine and a tip in the amount of around 15% is automatically added to your bill. If you bring your own wine and have it opened, you will be charged a corkage fee of around $6.00. Please remember that the wine stewart is not making a lot on 15% of $6.00! It is great to give a tip to your wine stewart at the end of your cruise. Most likely you will not be provided with an envelope for tipping your wine stewart like you receive for others who provide service like the waiter, waiter assistant, butler (if you have a suite), cabin attendant, etc. So get another envelope from the service desk and provide the wine stewart with his tip. A general rule is to tip anyone who provides you with service. Have a great cruise!

It's Steward, not Stewart. Learn to spell first, and then worry about tipping.
