A group of us are going on a cruise (Royal Carribbean) out of Galveston Texas in December. Nervous, excited, worried, looking forward to it. I am glad that they are offer Cruise Credit if you cancel up to 48 hours beforehand. I am really not sure if we are going to end up going or not. I hope we do! But lots of unknowns with variants and all. My own younger daughter is 6 (so not vaccinated yet). And there are lots in our group with kids under 12 (so not vaxxed yet). Sigh.

Celebrity Apex July 31-Aug 7
My friend and I flew to Greece on July 30 and boarded the 7th sailing of the Celebrity Apex. The ship was at 25% capacity and it was like having our own yacht! Although we were all vaccinated, we had to be covid tested before stepping on the ship, and covid tested again the next to last day to return to the US. We did have a family of 4 test positive on that next to last day. But it was a wonderful cruise!

leaving Seattle on second cruise on 9/5. Princess again, this time Alaska. we had the first covid wave biting at our heals on our first ever cruise-also with Princess. really looking forward to it but also increasingly concerned about delta and then possibility of another shutdown. follow the rules and take your chances.

melprofit: I think a lot of people would be really interested in a current report on an Alaska cruise. What you saw and did plus all the special procedures due to covid/whatever. You could post the TR here on the Cruise forum, but I'd maybe post it on the United Stares board tagged for Alaska. It would get more 'eyeballs' there. Or heck -- be a big spender and post it both places
You wouldn't need to post the whole thing twice. Just the Trip Report on one forum and then post a link to it on the other forum.

I am taking the leap and going on a river cruise. The cruise was postponed from earlier this year and we rebooked.
I have my vaccination card, a good supply of KN95 masks(which are required) and plan on taking an antigen test right before we leave just for me. They suggest a negative test only for our own peace of mind. The ship arranges for one for our departure back to the US.
I was in France earlier this Summer and survived. The ship requires all passengers be vaccinated, wear surgical masks, and has limited the number of passengers to 70% of normal capacity. This means about maybe 150 people.
wish me luck
