We are looking at going on a HAL Alaska cruise in May 2006. We have heard that Hal usually upgrades Aussies. Does anyone know if this is true?

Doubtful. And at this late date, you need to book now. Book a guarantee and hope for the best??

Get it through a cruise discounter who does a lot of business with HAL and you may just get an upgrade, Aussie or not.

You will have a greater chance of getting an upgrade if you book through an American agent and book a gty.

Haven't heard that but you may want to call them to see for sure. Maybe they can give you good R/T air fares. BTW what are the posrt stops? We did Alaska on Princess last August. Though we are warm weather vacationers this trip was one of our best ever and really it wasn't that cold either. In fact Ketchican was 75 F the day we were in port. G'day!
