Two days in Bermuda--what to do?
We are taking a 5 day RCL cruise to Bermuda and dock at Kings Wharf from 9:00 am one day to 4:00 pm the next. We are celebrating our Dad's 80th birthday, but both parents are lively and active. What three things should we not miss? Ideas for lunch? (we've got dinner reservations at Aqua) Beaches? Thanks for your help!

Mom, If you haven't been to Bermuda before, let me suggest you look into purchasing a bus/ferry pass. For a set price, you have unlimited access to transportation. Being in the dockyard, you might want to do this. Hamilton is a pleasant ferry ride away. If you are considering shopping, Front Street, Hamilton will fit the bill, but consider walking up one street and shop where the people of Bermuda shop. St. George is a nice trip. A lot depends on what you like to do. Perhaps if you fill us in, we could suggest something.

Two days is fine.. At Kings Wharf you can do the Dockyard...have lunch at the Frog and Onion.. Buy a bus/ferry Pass and take the ferry to St. George.. it's a charming little town and now has a Heritage Museum.. y ou could take a carriage ride, but we prefer to wander the little streets..Take the bus back and stop at the Swizzle Inn and have lunch and a pitcher of rum punch..great chowder, fish sandwiches, chicken wings and just blast. Continue on to Hamilton on the bus across the street for shopping. although Front Street shops aren't as many...and then get a ferry back to the Dockyard.. Wednesday night is a festival in downtown Hamilton and a smaller version in St. George on Tuesday..
