Tran-Canal in Style

My wife and I would like to sail through the Panama Canal (either direction) and would appreciate any advice on which line might provide the best service. We would like a first class experience. Thanks.

No doubt about it - Crystal Cruises. I've been through the canal many times, on QE2, Crystal Harmony and Royal Princess. For an upscale, sophisticated cruise (no glitz, PA announcements, pool Olympics, etc.) Crystal would be a good choice. And, they're discounting their winter '00 and spring '01 Panama Canal cruises.

Thanks Vicky,
Guess I had my head in the sand; didn't know Crystal serviced that itinerary. Crystal will certainally provide sufficient "style" for us, I'm sure.

Greg, May I also suggest the Radisson 7 Seas cruise line/ We just returned from the S.F to Sydney cruise and it was possibly the most luxurious trip yet. We have also been on their Paul Gauguin and Rad. Diamond, which were also SUPER> Their new ship the Mariner is all balcony and will do the Canal. I know you will enjoy these ships. Any further questions, contact me please. No I don't work for Rad. J

Here's another vote for Radisson Mariner. As nice as Crystal is, I think Radisson is a better value and just fabulous all the way around. Either way, you can't go wrong.
