To Book a Cruise Has Anyone Used Cruisecomplete.Com?

Has anyone used Cruisecomplete.Com to book a cruise? They post your request out to a myriad of TA's who then quote on the specific cruise you're looking at. They definitely have lower prices. Has anyone used them and what has been your experience?

Have used them twice, both with satisfactory results. I'm currently in the process of using them again, on a group cruise for 65 people.

On the recommendations on this website, I tried CruiseCompete (maybe there is CruiseCompLete too, not sure)

For me, it worked this way: I signed up, and the same day started to receive e-mails from... travel agencies in Florida!!

Living in San Francisco, looking for a cruise out of San Francisco, it didn't make any sence.

Besides, I asked for a specific deck, they only asked me to contact them, telling me the price starts from $xxx

I gave up. Won't use them again.

I have requested quotes from cruisecompete and specified the catagory I desired. The quotes weren't any cheaper than what I had priced on my own online.
FarinaAgain - I booked with a Fl. agent for my Alaska cruise, a Boston agency for caribbean. I don't see that it makes any difference as to where the agent is located concerning where you are cruising.

I've used them twice because I got the best price I could find. The second time I had problems with the travel agent, but I can't really blame that on cruisecompete.

Hi , I always use them to get a comparison of prices. I have booked through 2 different agencies through them on 4 different occasions. No agency here in Canada could match let alone beat the quotes I received through their agencies. I had no problems even tho I was concerned at first. All shipboard credits were always honoured, cabins I requested and confirmed were always correct. Even tho I have used 2 agencies I still get a quote thro CC rather than contacting those agencies directly becos I find they often offered a larger shipboard credit thro CC .before you book tho always check out if there are concerns with some of the agents , go to Cruiseaddicts or Cruiseconnection and read the boards, sometimes the cheapest agent does not have the best reputation

I've used them twice with great success. Joie Bavender was great and gave me great service. I also referred them to others. I was a little leary at first, but everything worked out as was promised. I just have to say that when you finish booking, service is a little drabbier ie. they are very eager for your service, but afterwards takes a little longer to get back to you. But I will be using them again. If you do, just say

I don't know. Just their geography seemed weird - are they using Florida agencies only?

Well, I know Cruise Value Center is on there, and they're in New Jersey. But it actually makes sense that there would be a lot of Florida agencies. Something like 20% of the cruise market in the U.S. is Florida residents.

I've tried them several times, but cruisequick.com always beats everybody who has replied.

BUT you must know the exact cabin/category/deck you want, so that all quotes are comparing apples to apples.

I think it depends on the particular sailing and which agencies happen to respond. You never know who is going to have the best deal on exactly what you want.

CruiseCompete.com may not always come back with the best deal, but it's a quick and easy way to get a number of offers to compare. If one of them doesn't turn out to be the best, you're only out a couple of minutes of your time. And, with the number of participating TA's who all know they're competing on price, more often than not you should get the best deal.

I asked for quotes on a RT from San Francisco to Alaska. Only Florida's travel agencies replied. Does it make any sence? I still think it's somewhat strange.

I've used cruisecompete.com twice in the last 2.5 years and have only positive things to say. Both times I ended up using the same agent in Connecticut (I'm in New York City). The second time all the quotes were the same but this particular agent offered $500 in onboard ship credit.

One agency I learned NOT to use was ecruises.com. They sent me a quote that was $300+ lower than what everyone else was offering. However, when I called them, they first gave me a runaround and then (after I asked them to honor their offer) told me it was no longer available. Just out of curiousity, I posted another request on cruisecompete.com and - no surpise - they again came back with the lower quote. I guess it was just a way to get you on the phone....

FainaAgain,
If you want, you may check with my agent Alex Shusterman at [email protected]. He does speak Russian.

I always go through Cruise compete as well as checking the cruise lines website as well. The different agents give you other ammenities ie onboard credit, free insurance etc. From cruise compete, I used two agents. One I had trouble with getting an OBC that was promised. All I did was write an email CRUISECOMPETE> The president wrote me, and told me he would be in touch with the agency He was, and I got my $35.00. The other time, I chose the another agency, and have used her for my travel arrangements. I found her through Cruise Compete. I still check and cross check! But Cruise compete followed up on the agency.

I always use them to compare prices and have booked two cruises with two different companies. Have never had a problem. My latest was booked with a company out of LA. I find you will always get a price break or if the price is the same as what you are finding, getting an onboard credit especially with RCCL and Celebrity. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again and have recommended to friends.

I am an owner of a travel agency and was going to sign up using them. But reading some feedback from other bulletins that I belong to it was just OK. Also, the President of the company I thought was very rude. I asked questions about the contract that he wanted me to sign and he told me nothing to expalin just re-read it. That was his answer. So I said bye bye. I'll continue building my business with clients whom I have worled with and a company who wants to work with others. That was my experience with them. You want a good deal you can send me your request my oeverhead is low I give back to the client so I don't have to split my commission with any company.

Apparently you didn't understand the rules of this forum either--you're not supposed to be using it to advertise your services.
