Has anyone been on a Princess Cruise to the Mediterranean? We're trying to decide which cruise line to go on. So far we found the best price on Princess on the Grand or Golden Princess. Any suggestions or comments? Thanks

Princess recently decided to pull the Grand Princess from the Med and put it in the Caribbean this summer. Med sailings were not selling that well and it was becoming difficult for Princess to fill 2 large ships.<BR><BR>Some friends did the Golden to the Med 2 summers ago and LOVED it.

I have been on several cruises in the Med and am looking forward to my upcoming cruise on the new Radisson Voyager! Princess and HAL are both very nice (actually prefer HAL over Princess and also prefer the smaller ship). I think you should look into Orient Cruise Line. When we cruised the Med on the Marco Polo it was fabulous! The cruise price also included hotels and city tours both pre and post cruise. This was a terrific value and the entire cruise was very first class! It will be fun comparing the Radisson Cruise with our Orient Cruise since some of the itinerary is similar. Orient Cruise Line has some great itineraries and will give the most bang for your buck.

We took the Golden Princess in the Mediterranean last year and loved it.<BR>We sailed from Barcelona and stopped in Monaco, Rome, Naples, Venice, Athens, Ephesus, and Istanbul. It seems they have not included the Turkey ports this year. We have really enjoyed sailing on Princess. Accomdations were spotless; dining was excellent; and shore excursions were wonderful. Take the excursion to Capri especially. It was beautiful. And, we will never forget sailing out at sunset from Venice. We recommend it highly.
