Princess or HAL to Hawaii? or Which ship is better Regal or Statendam?
We are in our 40's and have 2 sons ages 14 and 11. I'd love to cruise to Hawaii but I don't know which line we should choose. We like to have fun but don't want it pushed on us if you know what I mean. Also which ship do you think is nicer? I'd like a nice pool area for the kids and nice lounges and entertainment for us.Thanks for your help.

Are these your only 2 choices? If so, I don't think either would satisfy both you & your sons. One doesn't have sufficient children's activities & the other may not meet adult needs.<BR>I believe there are NCL cruises among others to HI which might fill the bill better.

I have been on both ships. For your particular sailing check with HAL if they have a youth coordinator. Cuz when we sailed on that particular ship to Europe in Aug in the mid 90's, my sister was only a teenager then and they had so much activities. We harldy saw her other than during meal time. Regal Princess on the other hand have better activities but the ship is not as nice as the Statendam.
