Norwegian's Majesty

Sailing on NCL's Majesty in February and would like positives or negatives from anyone who has recently sailed the Majesty
since it's "stretched" update. Interested if you visited the same ports of call I will... Aruba...Tortola...Curacao...St. Thomas and if you have any pointers about them. Thanks.

Have sailed the Majesty from Boston 8 times an scheduled for 9th..The stretching added anothr pool, dining rooms, etc.
They have "free style" dining which I'm not thrilled about, especially at dinner. We did solve the problem by finding our old waiter and stuck with his table like glue..For more info and pictures please write off the forum..

We have sailed on the Majesty,to Bermuda. It is a fine ship, no complaints. It was not our first cruise; as we have tried several different cruise lines. That one is very nice. The ports you mentioned are all places we have been too. We enjoyed Tortola, Curacao and St.Thomas; we have not visited Aruba yet, but we are going there next. We stayed on Curacao many years ago. It was very different, that is good, we like new places and there are wonderful people there. The food and shopping were very nice; there were very small stretches of beach around the island; which is quite large. We took a half-day tour one day, and saw one end of the island; and then a half-day tour to see the other half of the island. We rented a car during our stay also; and we had a great time. There is a new underwater park there since we were there. We enjoyed seeing Tortola, and we would go there again sometime. Taxi tours are the nicest way to see any island; you can do what you want to do, and stop when you wish to take pictures. Good luck!

My partner & I sailed on the Majesty last year to Cozumel. It was our 1st cruise, and actually we are going on another NCL cruise( The Sea, this time) Easter weekend to the Bahamas.

The ship was well maintained. Medium sized. The pool deck was nicely laid out, as was the upper deck - which had lots of room and chairs for sunning.
The food in the main dining rm ranged from good to ok ; food was much better at Le Bistro, and I would recommend eating at that restaurant more than once.
The biggest drawback was the theater;
it had bad lighting, pillars that blocked the view, and a such a low ceiling that one of the showgirls barely missed hitting the ceiling when her partner did a lift.
The disco was fun, and neither the crew nor any passengers made any fuss when several same-sex couples besides us went dancing.
Our inside cabin was small but not claustrophobic, and was nicely appointed.
Overall, the crew were all very nice, and I say the same for the ship. I would not hesitate taking a trip on this ship again; however, for me, I would want a bigger ship ( like the NCL Sky)for trips of 7 days or more. Our Cozumel trip was 4 days, and by the day of debarkation, I was ready to get off the ship. I guess I wanted a larger ship to 'wander' around on.
Enjoy your trip!
Well Anthony...remember the NCL did not build the ship..it was originalliy Royal Majesty and there were a few things about the Royal that made it far superior to the NCL Majesty.. There isn't enough room by the pool to put lounges then or now.. I agree about the Sky..I spent two weeks on it.. and adored the ship..but at the end of the 14th day.. I was ready to go home..and their Bistro is as you have to agree to "die for".. We were on the ship as they started "free style".. and they hadn't gotten their act together.. The entertainment was absolutely incredible..don'tyou agree.. Well, back to reality..maybe I can do a repo on the NCL Sun from New York..I'm dreaming of it now.. Delighted you enjoyed the Majesty.. Some day try their Bermuda itinerary..perfect..
