need help with cruising with children
my hubby and i are bringing our four children and three grandchildren on a cruise next april. is the disney cruise worth the extra cost? i know other lines have kid friendly cruises but disney must be doing something special. also, which airport should we fly into (from d.c.) that would be most convenient to port canaraval? thanks for any help.

Orlando is the ONLY airport to use when sailing from Port Canaveral! Look at a Florida map and you'll see this. The ship will have transportation to and from the ship or you could rent 2 vans and drive yourself. Sorry, can't tell you anything about Disney cruises but have heard great things about them!

My husband's entire family and us went on 2 Disney cruises...ages ranging from 3-70...13 people; everyone had a ball; by far the best family vacation...sooo much for kids; we combined them both with 3 days in the parks and 4 day cruises and I do think Orlando is the most convenient...about an hour drive from Disney World to the ship.

When the kids are in that 'Disney' age group - it is just perfect for them. Our Grandkids still ask to go back.
Their parents loved all the parts of the ship and the private island.
The lack of a casino is hardly missed with all the activity on board.
Walt would be proud.
