med tours
Cruising from Barcelona May 31st on the RCI Voyager of the Seas.I have been reading other posts about doing your own tours from each port. I havn't seen anything about this time of the year. Will we have a problem if we wait til we dock. We have arranged for Romecab while we are in Rome, 450 euros for the two of us plus tickets. We don't want to spend that amount in every port though. PLEASE HELP.

Actually there are no worries. There will be plenty of cabs in port. You can easily do them on your own. Our very 1st cruise was the western Med and we did all the ports on our own. We were on our own time and saved alot of $$ though at the time the Euro was 1:1 with the USD. Actually the three of us got a cab in Civitavecchia (for Rome) and all it cost was $200.00 plus tickets. I am surprised Romecab is that much and doesn't include tickets. Have fun. Larry

I have two suggestions:
List your ports and we can make suggestions.
Go to the ports of call section of www.cruisecritic.com where there is lots of information.

In Barcelona, we loved the Gaudi sights: Casa Mila, Casa Batllo, Parc Guell, Sagrada Familia.
Where in Sicily? We stopped in Siracusa, where we did a self-guided walking tour of the old city, then went to the Greek and Roman theaters and the Teardrop Church.
