I saw that post too but now it is gone - probably deleted by the moderators. I've see the same thing once in a while where a spammer or troll joins and posts copy / pastes of others' posts. My guess its done to gain a Fodors 'posting history' so they can advertise links. I wouldn't worry about it.

Your trip report has made me feel that cruising again is a real possibility. DD loves beaches and GD loves cruises with shows, water slides, poolside movies and lots of ice-cream. I just like seeing them happy, so I am crossing my fingers that we feel safe enough by April to do something in the Caribbean during Spring Break. If not, then a cruise to Bermuda in July. Surely, things will feel safe by then. Thanks for giving me the hope and inspiration to start planning again.

I admit to not reading every word but appreciate a post-COVID world trip report.

For Princess, I've only been on short repos cruises up to Vancouver. At the time, I though their baked sweets in the cafeteria were good. On most lines, any baked dessert that is served in the MDR tends to be chilled and lose the appropriate texture. But that's probably a good thing to avoid over-indulgence. I like "real ice cream" instead. In general I found Princess food uninspired and bland. It seems targeted to Midwestern American tastes. Lots of Italian. And I rarely eat steak.

Alaska cruising, I have only done the HAL one-way cruises (Anchorage to Vancouver direction) with a stop in small town Haines rather than Skagway. Their ships are the perfect size and configuration for those who like to be outside in Glacier Bay. Their tradition is pea soup on deck. (Of course, this assumes there is good weather). I got lucky both times there: I think these are both June 2018.

I still have Norwegian bucks to burn, so will need to book something, even if it is only a repositioning to Vancouver or short cruise to Mexico.
