Low fat possible on cruise?

This is not a troll. I saw the post about getting kosher food and I got to thinking. I try and eat low fat. Usually i just suck it up and eat fat the week of my cruise, but I was wondering, if I asked, could I get skim milk for breakfast on the lido deck buffet breakfast? I always see the normal, fat-filled milk in the little cartons, but each one has loads of fat. Do they have skim milk back there if I ask for it?

What about fat-free salad dressings. I never thought to ask, & I just ask for ranch. Do they even have fat-free ranch?

Yes, they do have low fat/low calorie desserts; salad dressings; meals.

Ask for fat-free or skim milk.

On our recent Carnival cruise, they had a "light" dinner menu each night.

Personally, I prefer to "rock-out" on vacation, then slim back down once I get home....

And we ALWAYS use stairs on vacations!

Nanette, thanks for the input, but it really doesn't help at all. I am aware of the light options in the dining room, but my specific question dealt with stuff that can be found in the buffet area on the lido deck.

Has anyone actually requested and recieved these fat-free things (milk dressing) on the lido deck? I am looking for experiences, not just what you would assume.

Since, with the exception of things in packages (such as milk), a cruiser could only guess at the fat content of an item, perhaps you could contact the specific cruise line directly.

Yes to fat-free milk & low-cal dressing (albeit it's the bottled version) on
the Lido deck on 2 or 3 cruise lines that we've sailed.

We just got back from the Fascination and they do have skim milk, chocolate milk, 2% milk and whole milk in the buffet line. You didn't have to ask, it was out for the taking. Can get it with room service too.
