Looking for a cruise that includes Norway and Iceland

Good morning,
My husband just announced that he's very interested in cruising the Nordics. However, he has left the details to me. Is there a single cruise that includes both Iceland and Norway, lasts around 14 days and isn't on a mega-sized ship? also...he wants to go in May 2026. I've looked at Cruise.com, Viking, A&K, etc and they appear to do either Norway or Iceland but not both.

Advice or experience??

Thank you!

We did a cruise on Regent Seven Seas that went to both Iceland and Norway. RSS ships have around 650 to 750 passengers. I believe Oceania also has cruises that visit both places. Their ships hold around 1250 passengers.

Viking Bergen to Iceland

Viking has a 13 day itinerary Bergen to Iceland. With several stops in both countries and a stop in the Faroe Islands. Great itinerary!

You could fly into Oslo and spend several days there and then take the beautiful train ride from Oslo to Bergen. You would fly home from Reykjavik.

You could try Baltic Travel Company I’ve travelled with them before and found everything very comfortable and well organised. They specialise in Nordic trips and may be able to put together an Iceland + Norway itinerary that fits what you’re looking for.

NCL offers 7 to 15-day Norway and Iceland cruises, frequently on the Norwegian Prima or Norwegian Star. These itineraries typically sail between Reykjavik and European ports like London (Southampton) or Bergen, highlighting dramatic fjords, glaciers, and coastal cities. Key stops include Isafjordur, Akureyri, and Alesund, with activities focused on nature and culture.
Key Features of NCL Norway & Iceland Cruises:
  • Itinerary Highlights: Cruises often include the Golden Circle in Iceland (Thingvellir National Park, Geysir), the Faroe Islands, and Norwegian fjords, such as Geiranger.
  • Departure Ports: Most often, these cruises depart from Reykjavik, Iceland, or Southampton (London), UK, with some options in Bergen or Tromso.
  • Ship Amenities: Norwegian Prima features modern amenities, including a casino, diverse dining, and, often with "Free at Sea" packages, perks like shore excursion credits and drink packages.
  • Shore Excursions: Popular activities include visiting the Blue Lagoon, exploring the Arctic Fox Center in Isafjordur, and viewing waterfalls in Akureyri.
  • Duration: Options range from 7-day, 10-day, to 11-day, with some 15-day voyages covering more extensive Arctic regions.
Son and family took this cruise on the Prima last year, departing from Southampton, then from Reykjavik. Prima is not one of the larger ships, capacity about 3100. They enjoyed it very much, especially Iceland
