Land tour in Italy
Petlover, you said you have good company you arrange land tours in Italy. I need to arrange for a car and a driver for transfer from Florence to Rome. Can you recommend anyone? I see arranging for shore excursions is easy, but for long distance touring is difficult.

You can't take the train? I know of a good private tour company from Florence, but I don't know if they go all the way to Rome. However, they could point you in the right direction. I used them for a full day to take my family around Tuscany to Siena, etc. Sunny Tuscany Private Tours. www.sunnytuscany.com.

[email protected] is a GREAT company...
Email Andrea and ask him if he does the reverse from Florence to Rome. I am pretty sure he does because he does ROME to FLorence...
Explain what you want and see what he says...

Thank you, wtggirl and andy. I'll check them out. My husband doesn't want to deal with big suitcases at train stations, or driving in Italy. Taking a precruise package means a tour bus, and I refuse to do that. So they limit our options I'm afraid.

try www.driverinrome.com
they arrange tours for all over Italy. I am currently signed up with them for Naples (Sorrento, Pompeii, Positano), Florence/Pisa and Rome.
At cruisecritic.com they are highly recommended.
