Hello There:
First of all, yes I am jealous that you are cruising the Baltics on June 11th from Copenhagen.
I want to wish you a pleasant voyage and please say Hi to Putin for me when you get to St.Petersburg.
Have a pleasant flight and a great cruise.
Take care
Percy

Well when jacketwatch comes back he will do his trip report.
It will be excellent as always.
Right now he is crusing from Copenhagen to Stockholm Sweden as I type this !!!
Then I leave on August 16th to do the same cruise as jacketwatch...I will post my report also.....so there will be two versions and two opinions, but I am sure jacketwatch and I will be in the same ballpark.
I was in Rome and Florence last October but I have to say that the inside of the Palaces in St. Petersburg are more mind boggling than anything I saw in Rome!!!!
jacketwatch if you are reading this... I wish you a good time !!

Percy, thank you, I'll definitely look forward to reading of your journeys. Husband is a HUGE Russian history buff. A trip to St. Petersburg would be a dream come true for him (I'm not as keen on the idea, but I'm coming around). It beats his other idea to go bike the Ho Chi Minh Trail!
We sent daughter over while she was in college and she came back with some awesome pics (she said the food was horrible though and you definitely can't "Wing" your way around with the language. Since our ability to be bi-lingual is limited to "Como Esta" or "Que?", it should REALLY be interesting!
We're in the process of throwing around some ideas for a "major" trip for our 25th wedding anniversary and this idea is definitely one of our considerations. We normally go somewhere that involves a beach and fru fru drinks with little umbrellas, so I really need to try to be more adventerous and think outside the box.

Look for my TR too in late June. Cheers, Larry
