Infinity or Sea Princess

We would like to book a cruise to the Southern Caribbean next Feb. 16/17 (unfortunately, school vacation). There are only 2 ships whose itinerary we are interested in: Celebrity's Infinity or The Sea Princess. Any recommendations? Thank You

Deborah,
There is one other that might interest you since the itinerary is almost identical. RCCL's new Radiance will be doing the same as Infinity except for one different port. We are going on either the Infinity or Radiance a couple of weeks before you but haven't decided which one yet. I personally would opt for one of those two but think the Sea Princess would be great too. The cabins will be larger on the first two and of course they are new.

Go with Sea Princess. Have been on both. they are both good ships but the Sea is the best.

Jack,

Can you tell me why you prefer the Sea Princess over the Infinity? Just wondering as we have a cruise scheduled on the Infinity in January. We have also been on the Sea and liked the Mercury better. Just wondered.

According to the ratings and also my taste. The food on Princess is average and the food on Celebrity is great. Otherwise not much difference between the two lines.

Will this be your deciding factor?

Paul

Oh yes, I forgot. There will be a few less children on the Celebrity ships due to the extra cost.

Paul

Sea Princess is more traditional and a nice ship.

Just got off the Infinity today. The ship is new (March 2001) large rooms and spectacular public areas. Food is good though not served with the flair of some lines. Rooms with balconys are nice, though the biggest advantage of the balcony may be the floor to ceiling window. Gives a much larger feel to the room. Entertainment on board is very professional.
