Holland America Promotion Code
I am in the process of booking my first cruise! Giong to the Carib. on the Zuiderdam in November.
Very frustrated, HAL can't seem to find the promotion code for the shipboard credit that I found out about on Travelocity. If you book between June 4 and July 3, they are offering $75 per balcony room in a shipboard credit. My travel agent has called HAL and they can't find the promotion. Something similar happened with my Mom's HAL cruise recently and it took 3 phone calls and luck of the draw to find a customer service rep who was resourceful enough to find the promotion. Any ideas on how to find out the code???
Thanks, Kim

Winner post sounds correct. Hal is not known for giving out on board credit promos.
The only one I am aware of that Hal gives out is if you book another cruise while on board, or you own CCL stock.
This sounds like a Travelocity promo not something from Hal. As winner said you probably have to book with Travelocity to get the credit.

Hello,
Actually, Holland America has a few onboard credit promotions that I've seen, but it could very well be a promotion through Travelocity - many travel agencies do that as a booking bonus/incentive.
Another idea is to have your travel agent get in touch with their Holland America District Sales Manager. If it is a Holland America promotion, the District Sales Manager will have the information or be able to find out the information. They will then also be able to tell your travel agent if it is a separate promotion.
Good luck!

You have to book through Travelocity.
When you get your confirmation from them, there's a link to fill out an online form with your name, cruise line confirmation number, sailing dates, etc. and they'll arrange the credit. It's not automatic - if you don't fill out the form you don't get the credit.

We booked directly thought Holland America for our last Panama Canal Cruise. Our HAL agent told us if the prices dropped before we paid the balance due, we'd get a refund. I kept a close eye on our sailing date and sure enough the price dropped $450 each! WOOT. Our agent told us if the price dropped after we paid the balance we would get ship credit. Either way, if you book though them you just have to watch to see if the prices drop before you sail.
