Has anyone been on theGrand Princess - Med.- this summer?

Has anyone on this forum been on the Grand Princess this summer going from Istanbul to Barcelona or vice versa? What did you think of it, and also the ports? Were you pressed for time at any of the ports? THANKS!!!

Yes, we went on the same trip, but from Barcelona to Istanbul, last summer. It's a big ship but the Princess people do a great job of moving people, and the excursions were well organized. Certain city (venice, etc)are always crowded in high season, but I think that you will be very happy on the Grand. We loved having our own balcony, and the privacy that it provided, plus great food and lots of choices to do.

We were on this cruise July of this year, Barcelona to Istanbul. We had a bad experience with a fall and broken ankle so this made things difficult. Princess staff was HORRIBLE! The tours were good but very rushed and like a cattle call. Won't be sailing with them anytime soon. If I can be of any help, please email me.
Was on the Grand Princess exactly one
year ago today, Istanbul to Barcelona.
Was a wonderful trip! The selection of ports could not have been any better!
The ship was large, but never feels as large as it really was. Beautiful decor, great to very good food, good entertainment, lovely pools, and very nice staff! Enjoyed our own balconey very much! Took all Princess shore trips, including the overnight to Rome.
All trips were worth the money and hit the best sights to see. Felt the time at ports was enough to give you a true sense of the culture, sights and sounds. I think it's a trip anyone would enjoy very much. I'd go again!

We did the Barcelona to Istanbul trip for last 2 weeks in August this year. It was a wonderful trip, in fact magical at times. Food was very good and lots of things to do. We often did our own arrangements in port. The excursions were well organised but sometimes very tiring. Our room with a balcony was excellent. Take a swimsuit in your handbaggage as it takes a while for your luggage to arrive with so many passengers. We hope to do the Carribbean next. Email me if you want to know more.
