That is a good question! I have been on Century 3 times and have never paid for a meal. Was it a website that you can give me to look at? Maybe it was a general comment about the Celebrity Cruise Line where SOME ships have some meals that cost additional. But Century does not have a specialty restaurant that some of the others do.

Thanks for the response Cruiser. We were actually the Celebrity.com website when we found this comment about the food. I think we are sold on the trip but just want to make sure we are not going to pay a fortune on the "extra" food. It looks like a nice boat for a couple of first timers.

My guess...repeat "GUESS"...is that their reference to "most meals" means that they don't cover the cost of meals when you're off on an excursion. They serve three meals a day on board...but no box lunches or other meals when you're off the ship.
Hope this helps...JimM

You won't have to pay for any meals on Century. Some of the newer Celebrity ships (Millennium class and later) have specialty restaurants that cost an additional fee (about $24) for white glove treatment & cooking at your table. We did it one night on Millennium -- it was very nice. Steak Diane prepared right at the table.
Again, these restaurants are "optional."
JimM is right -- no box lunches. If you go to one of the private islands, they will have a BBQ for you.
