First time family cruisers
Can anyone recommend a good family cruise/line to go on for first timers? I've heard RC is the one to go for first timers and great for families but I've been reading some good things about Norwegian as well. Looking for a 3 or 5 night, not the one that stops in Key West...been there done that.
Thanks in advance!

Hey Dude! We are getting there. we pretty much have Tallinn and Helsinki figured out, as well as Stockholm. Still need to work on Gdansk and Oslo. I think for Helsinki we will gt a cab and go the the various sites we wish to see. I would hope Oslo and Gdansk have some hop-on, hop-off tours buses for the major sites too but I'll look into that. In Stockholm the water taxi seems perfect. So how is everything with you?

Hi jacketwatch:
Well I have a private tour guide for Copenhagen before the cruise todo a fullday tour.. I told her I want to also go to the town of Hillerod ( nearby to see this lovely Castle with the immaculate grounds)
I am working on Helsinki and have a list of places to see.
There is a hotel in Helsinki called Hotel Torni, the views from the Alejee Bar on the top floor are terric , so I want to have a local beer here and see the view.
St.Petersbug is all done and booked and I have the tickets.
Tallin... I have looked at about 200 pictures of this place but I am trying to see if I can make a deal for a tour guide for both Helsinki and Tallinn..... the same guide.
He would take the ferry from Tallinn to meet me in Helsinki and then
3 days later......
he would meet me in Tallin.
We are in Tallin for such a short time and although I could virtually be my own tour guide there ..I Ihave to think of the other 3 people in my group.
They do nohomework at all and rely 100% on me !!!
I planned our Mediterranean cruise last October so well, they expect me to do a repeat performance.
From all I have read and seen of St.Petersburg, it is really something.
In Stockholm if I do Gamla Stan and see the Vasa Museum, then I am fine.
Other places are a bit further away, so I will see about getting there.
The three major museums in Stockholm are all on one island near Gamla Stan.
As for Poland, my Travel Agent has a friend there and I almost got her to guide us but thse will not be there on the day I arrive ( Grrr!!!)
We get off the cruise ship in Gdynia and have to go over to Gdansk.
There is lots to see here in Gdansk and I have a list of all the major places to see.
The cruises are not wearing me out ,it is planning for them and what you want to see that me grey hair !!!!
Take Care
Percy
