Finding a good travel agent

I want to book an NCL Hawaiian cruise and online travel agents have a better price than booking with NCL directly.
On Cruisecritic, I read that posters are not allowed to reommend specific agencies or agents.
If it is allowed on Fodors, anyone have a recommendation?
I have pretty much done all the research and can get a good price, but would like someone to watch for price drops, select a good cabin location and help if any problem arises.

I can highly recommend my agent Alex at [email protected]. He does all of that.

Hi Susan,

I have had very good luck with vacationstogo.com and American Express. But as with any agency you still have to stay on top of things yourself to make sure you are getting what you want. Happy Sailing.

Stay Savvy!

I always book with a travel agency that have a cruise specialist. They not only got me the best price (as I could get online) but a better located cabin than what I could get online. They have direct phone access with cruise lines and having someone to answer your questions over the phone is much better. They can also keep an eye for future price reductions something I doubt you could get with an online reservation. I think it is worth going to an expert in the field...

Try http://www.CruiseCompete.com. You pick your cruise and get multiple competeing quotes from various agents. You can also read user reviews of the agencies who provide the quotes.

Good luck!

Another good site is www.cruisenegotiators.com. Works pretty much the same as cruisecompete.
