Embarkation in San Juan

I Keep reading horror stories of the embarkation process for Crown Princess in San Juan. We are flying in a day early. Any advise on what time to board ship? Thanks.

We were on Royal Caribbean and flew in the night before also. If they say boarding begins at Noon, get there at 11:30, check in, and board the ship, explore, and have lunch. You will beat all the crowds.

Thanks Budman. We will be on the AOS out of SJ so if boarding begins at 1400 be there at 1330. Will they let you on a bit early?

I would bet if you got there at Noon, they would check you in and let you on board -- but not to your stateroom until later.

We cruised on Adventurer in October. Get there at 11:30.

We had tickets for the ice show but didn't go -- I don't remember why. Everyone said it was fantastic.

Not bad at all this past August on Royal Caribbean. We flew in from Chicago on the same day. Got there about 2 PM. And, we were on the ship in about 30 mins or so.

Doing the same in march/08 on Crown princess. However, right now having a hard time finding reasonably priced tickets into PR. We have already eliminated finfing non-stp flights too.
