Eastern Mediterranean Cruise

I am wanting to go on a 10-12 day Cruise from Venice to Instanbul or Athens taking it at least three Greek Islands (Santorini, Mykonos and another) in June 2010. Can anyone recommend a good Cruise on a mid size ship that is five star quality at three star price.

very cruiser has their favorite cruise line. In my experience, HAL generally offers a good experience at affordable rates.

I agree with Rhea58. You might also look at Oceania or even Azamara, but both are much more expensive.

You get what you pay for. If you really want 5-star everything, you will not get it for 3-star prices. Certainly not in the middle of the high season for eastern Med cruising.

Did this area on Celebrity Solstic in Oct.2009 on 2008 ship with very comfortable rooms and great staff. I don't think yo can get 5 star service wanting 3 star prices. This ship sailed out of Rome and back visiting Greek Isles and Turkey-Istanbul and Ephesus and also Athens. I thought the price very good for this ship at that time. Not sure how much you want to pay. Check vacationstogo.com and then you can compare.

Thanks for all your tips guys. I know you can't get five star at three star prices but sometimes the service and food etc is five star but you don't pay that much. I did an Oceania Cruise mid June last year and it was brilliant. It was five star everything but we only paid $3,000AUD for the Cruise. That is what I call good value. I had never heard of Azamara but I am liking what I see so thank you everyone for your replies much appreciated.

On board NCL Jade as I write this. Left Barcelona 20th Dec for Rome, Naples, Alexandria, Izmir, Athens, Rhodes and Crete.

Cost 1000 GB pounds all in great food entertainment and excellent sevice. Very much recommended.
