My husband and I did the Dawn Princess last year to Alaska. It's a great ship--great shopping on board!!!! Much classier ship than most.

I am taking a Cruisetour on the Dawn <BR>in Sept. Flight to Fairbanks, rail to <BR>Denali, Anchorage and cruise 7 nights <BR>from Seward. to Vancouver. Would like to <BR>hear from anyone who has taken this trip. Any worthwhile shore excursions? <BR>Also, what was weather like in late Sept. Thanks! <BR>

Hi Susie, You'll love the Dawn Princess. We just did two weeks in the Southern Caribbean and I'm ready to repeat. Virtually NO COMPLAINTS! Have you cruised before? What do you like to do? We've been to most of the islands previously so our focus was on the beaches. Let me know which itinerary you'll be following and I'll give you some tips. Generally, I would advise you to take a minimum number of tours. Ask around and you'll get tips on whether or not there is anything worthwhile to do on a particularly island. Bargains?? - They're not giving it away anywhere. Be careful when purchasing jewelry - a reputible dealer is important, i.e. Columbian Emeralds. I bought a Seiko from them three years ago and it's still performing well. Savings - maybe 30%.
